Psychotherapy

We live in profoundly challenging times. For many, it seems there is no end to the stressors and conflicts that complicate our relationships and derail our dreams. What happened to that childlike sense of possibility? That verve for life, did it fall behind a shadow of an unending repetition? Or perhaps that spirit was never allowed to blossom in the first place. Either way, we will seek to unravel the maladaptive forces that hold you back, allowing vitality to thrive and meaningful relationships to flourish.

When working with individuals, I draw from my training in psychodynamic relational therapy, attachment theory, trauma informed somatic work, and psychoanalysis. Regardless of what approach I may use, you will find me endlessly curious about you.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years in the arts. This makes me particularly sensitive to the struggles of all artists regardless of discipline. From creative block to post-performance let-down, to the myriad of emotional difficulties that surround “getting your work out there,” artists need a considered approach which addresses the deeper psychodynamic forces at play for a lasting result. But even if you are not an artist, you may still suffer from feeling stuck and yearn for renewed inspiration.
